Meredith Salenger

Salenger lived in Malibu. She was a performer for family and friends when she was an early child. At the age of eight the mother of her child took her to her first class in acting. The actress played the role in the film as "a singer and dancer orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger had also been featured in a series of television advertisements. Salenger was the first to appear in The Journey of Natty Gann by Disney that starred John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film was awarded the Moscow Film Festival's gold award as the first movie made in America. Additionally, she was awarded "Best Female actor in a drama" in the Youth in Film Awards in the recognition of her character as the fun-loving Natty. Following her appearance in 4 more films by the time she was 18 years old which included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon and A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, she quit Hollywood and went to Harvard to further her education.
